Bite Cancer Foundation Scholarship

The Bite Cancer Scholarship honors students whose lives have been impacted by cancer. All students who meet the eligibility requirements are highly encouraged to apply. Applications will be available in the BCHS Counseling office.

In Spring, 2024, two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who:

1. Graduate from Byron Center High School;

2. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0;

3. Have been accepted to attend an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university or a trade

school; and

4. Successfully complete the application process.

Application Procedure

To apply for a 2024 Bite Cancer Scholarship, you must submit:

1. The completed Scholarship Application form;

2. A typed Personal Essay;

3. Proof of acceptance at a qualifying college, university, or trade school.

Submit your completed application packet to the Bite Cancer Foundation by:

To be considered, applications must be submitted by Midnight on Thursday, April 14th, 2024.

The Selection Process

All scholarship applications will be reviewed by the Bite Cancer Board Members. Finalists will be notified of the Board’s decisions by May 1st, 2024. Students receiving scholarships will be honored at the Byron Center High School honors program in May.

Payment of scholarship awards will be made directly to the institution where you will be enrolling.
